SEND YOUR KIDS ON A SUPER COOL UNDERWATER BIBLE ADVENTURE!
At Scuba VBS, kids dive into friendship with God! Scuba is filled with fantastic Bible-learning experiences kids see, hear, and touch! Hands-on science experiments, team-building games, unforgettable Bible songs, and tasty treats are just a few of the standout activities that help faith flow into real life. (Since everything is hands-on, kids might get a little messy. Be sure to send them in play clothes and sturdy shoes.)

First Year Milestone
First Year Milestone, Sunday, February 5!
Are you a family who welcomed a baby in 2022*? Come to this First Year Milestone at Gloria Dei! This exciting opportunity will take place on Sunday, February 5, from 9:30-10:20am (between services).
This milestone will give you and your family the opportunity to connect with other families with littles and playfully explore ways to raise a kid in faith. We'll hand out high-quality board-book Bibles, play with water, share stories, and get curious about engaging faith at home and in other places. This milestone will be in the Looking Within Center (downstairs), and will be led by Deacon Amanda and Pastor Hayden. We'll set out blankets to sit on with the babies, or you can bring your own (we'll also have chairs)! Questions? Contact Pastor Hayden (kvamme@gloria-dei.com) or Deacon Amanda (amandas@gloria-dei.com).
Siblings can be dropped in Sunday Bible Adventure or the nursery at 9:30 on this day, or they can come along with baby and parents.
*Note: If your child was born in 2020 or 2021 and you're interested in participating in this milestone, please reach out! We'd love to have you.
Advent Festival
Let's celebrate the season of Advent!
We will be creating an Advent calendar and nativity craft. There will be an opportunity to learn a new Advent ritual to use at home. And of course, there will be treats and space for fellowship!
THERE WILL EVEN BE ADVENT BINGO!
An event for all ages! All are welcome!
Installation and Celebration of Deacon Amanda Sabelko
We are overwhelmingly excited to celebrate the Installation of Deacon Amanda Sabelko as our Children, Youth, and Family Director during worship on June 19, Father’s Day!
Join us for coffee from Amanda’s favorite stop, Trail Creek Coffee Roasters in Kasson. Pastor Matt Larson, Assistant to the Bishop for Candidacy, will be presiding.
The installation will happen during both worship services (Traditional - 8:30am, EPIC - 10:30am). Stay after either service for delicious coffee and community time! The installation will also be featured during online worship.
Baptism Class
Pastor Hayden Kvamme will run these classes about once a month. The idea is to learn a bit about baptism at Gloria Dei and beyond, become familiar with the promises made the day of the baptism and their meaning, and get acquainted with some other families going through a baptismal moment here.
The class each month will be the same--in other words, it's just a one-time class, not a running commitment. While there are advantages to participating in a class prior to the baptism, you are still encouraged to participate in one after the fact.
Either way, our hope is that you'd participate in a class at some point, especially if it's your first child being baptized; it may not be necessary or as helpful for a second or third (etc.) kid, and often other arrangements are made for other cases--though you're always welcome. Please contact Hayden if you have any questions.

Grades 6-12 Christmas Caroling
We are going to go Christmas caroling on Sunday, December 19, from 5-7 pm. Come in your favorite Christmassy garb (hats, sweaters, etc) and spread some holiday cheer to some of our homebound members and others who would especially appreciate this connection this year. Out of care for the community, we will not be providing transportation. Instead, parents/youth, please plan on driving your youth / yourselves around from spot to spot. After caroling, we'll gather back at the parking lot at church for some warmth and refreshments!
