Pastor Hayden Kvamme will run these classes about once a month. The idea is to learn a bit about baptism at Gloria Dei and beyond, become familiar with the promises made the day of the baptism and their meaning, and get acquainted with some other families going through a baptismal moment here.

The class each month will be the same--in other words, it's just a one-time class, not a running commitment. While there are advantages to participating in a class prior to the baptism, you are still encouraged to participate in one after the fact.

Either way, our hope is that you'd participate in a class at some point, especially if it's your first child being baptized; it may not be necessary or as helpful for a second or third (etc.) kid, and often other arrangements are made for other cases--though you're always welcome.
