Three Days: Easter Vigil

Three Days In the Garden

A Garden is a place where toil and sweat meet beauty and vitality.

A Garden is a place where food is grown to feed a hungry household.

A Garden is a place where death and new life happen reliably… consistently…simultaneously.

This is nothing less than the story of Christ, and we will share this story once again through the Three Days worship experience.

Join us in the garden for the Three Days: One Worship Service in Three Parts:

MAUNDY THURSDAY, APRIL 6 - IN PERSON AT 7:00PM

On Maundy Thursday we will encounter tables filled with fruits from the Garden– wheat, grapes, and flowers. We will drink from large cups, share loaves of bread, and linger at candle lit tables in an evening of love and abundance. We’ll hear a call to love one another before the story moves to the Garden of Gethsemane. At this point the worship experience will pause until Friday night.

GOOD FRIDAY, APRIL 7 - IN PERSON AT 7:00PM

On Good Friday we will move from the Garden of Gethsemane to the cross on a barren hill. On this night we are reminded that a garden is a place where the cycle of life is on full display, and we are reminded that death is a part of the ongoing reality of life. This night we encounter a place of endings and vulnerability. Even here Christ meets us in our pain and struggle, this is the beginning of transformation. The service will once again pause, this time near a garden tomb, until the third and final installment of the Three Days begins on Saturday night.

EASTER VIGIL, APRIL 8 - IN PERSON AT 7:30PM

At the Easter Vigil we will rest and wait in the garden. We accompany each other as we wait and watch for the first shoots of new life to break through the spring soil. The evening begins around a fire, we will light candles, and ultimately begin an evening of storytelling. This is the night of transformation from darkness to light, from mourning to dancing, from death to life. The night will conclude with the first proclamation of Easter, and a giant feast in the new Easter garden!
