Summer Dates and Themes:
June 1: Light and Darkness
July 6 *July 20: Nature and Creation
August 3: Our Shared Humanity
Due to Covid positivity among leaders of tomorrow night's Taize worship, and out of an abundance of caution, we've elected to postpone and reschedule the July 6 Taize Worship to Wednesday, July 20. We'll be excited to join you then for Root Beer Floats at 5:45pm and worship at 6:30pm. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause you.
Dessert available in the Gloria Dei Courtyard (or Garden Lounge if it rains) beginning at 5:45 pm
Worship from 6:30-7pm
Monthly Taize worship returns in July! Enjoy dessert in the courtyard (our specialty – root beer floats!), and then we’ll flow right into Taize Evening Prayer in the Looking Within Center. Our worship time will focus on creation: how we experience God’s presence there, and our relationship with the created world.
Taizé worship might be called “meditative worship”: worship that intentionally includes brief moments of silence, short and repeated prayer songs, plus familiar aspects of worship. We'll have a chance to bask in the light of God’s love as we give thanks, make known to God our personal and collective hurts and hopes, and enjoy the summer weather. Worship will be led by Pastor Hayden Kvamme, led musically by Chris Roberts and others, and hosted by Julie Stevens.
